Finally it’s 12th of March. It was such an epic journey for all of us since this would be the first time we could finally see Adam performs live on the stage.
We had all the delays we could have. And we only reached the hotel to change our costume at 5 pm. With 30-40 minutes to spare, we did what we could to look our best during the show. We found out that 10 of the original winner would be able to meet Adam for a short M&G session.
Off we left to Universal Studios. The driver was using a long way to get there which I totally didn’t understand why but as long as we reached there safely, it’s all good. Once we reached there, of course we were awed by the Universal Studio. It’s a beautiful place after all.
We saw a long queue for the fans to get inside. Thank God for our numbered seats. We were separated between the fans that would meet Adam and the one who won’t be meeting Adam.
So the 10 of us plus a few of the organizers were brought to another area to wait for our turn. We saw VJ Dom from Channel V while waiting. A couple of us took a picture of him. He’s a very tall guy. Haha I’m short by the way. Even wearing a 3 inch platform boots didn’t help at all.
While waiting for our turn to meet Adam, I saw Monte and LP walked out from a room. I was stunned for a while. After Andi did his flailing with Monte and took a couple of photos with Monte and LP, it’s time for me to introduce myself to Monte
I nearly introduced myself to Monte using my real name and then I held back because I remember Monte would only recognized my twitter name so hence I said, ‘Hi Monte, it’s Dashia from Twitter’. That would be the first time I introduced myself using my twitter name. Hilarious I must say. I took a picture with him.

I wanted to take picture with LP but it’s our turn to meet Adam. We were brought inside the room. From far, Adam is definitely beautiful and he has an aura that attracts everyone. We walked towards him and introduced ourselves to him. He’s very friendly and humble towards all of us and he appreciated all the presents that we gave him. When he saw someone dressed up as him and Monte, he couldn’t stop laughing. Yes, his laughs are addicted.
We took a group photo since we were not allowed for individual photos and we couldn’t use our own camera as well. So after our turn, we have to move aside but still in the same room as Adam. So we still were able to see him from far. We took a couple of picture with Adam in our background. This is what we called desperate. We looked and Adam as much as we can. We were only a couple of feet from Adam.
I still couldn’t believe it that I’m in the same room as Adam. THE ADAM LAMBERT!! All this while I’ve been dreaming and dreaming to see him and finally when it did come true, I feel really blessed. Who wouldn’t right? My time with Adam may be limited but there’ll be other opportunity next time. Seriously, if I’m rich like the Brunei royals, I would definitely bring Adam to me. I’d pay whatever he wants.

We were then ushered inside the studio. It’s called Monster Rock. The studio still empty except for those who’s in the upper deck. The upper deck was free seating so they got to came in early for better seat. Those in lower deck were numbered seat and our seats were mostly on the 6-8th row from the stage!! And I’m on the 7th row. Close enough to see Adam clearly.
While waiting for the rest of the audience to come in, as usual I took some pictures with the rest of them. Took a picture of the stage as well and then they dropped the bomb. No photography or videography were allowed during the show. I’ll be damned. But me being me, I still manage to take some photos.
Anyway, after the rest of the audiences came in, we were anxiously waiting for the showcase to start. I bumped into VJ Dom again. He asked, ‘So, have you met Adam yet?’ Me, ‘Yes!!’ He said, ‘He’s a nice guy right?’ And of course I would say, ‘Of course he is. He’s a very nice guy.’
Then, we got really restless because it’s already 8.30 pm but we didn’t see Adam yet. A host came out (I forgot his name. I believe he is a radio dj in Singapore) and after some talking, 4 dancers took the stage to dance with Adam’s song in the background. Once it was over, the host continued with his talks. At this point of time, I wouldn’t even remember what he said but I only knew that I screamed ‘WE WANT ADAM’.
Finally, the time has come. The host called up Adam on stage. While he walked to the centre of the stage, my mind was running the lyric from his song Fever. There he goes, my baby walks so slow..sexual tic tac toe…. As usual, he greeted the host, the audiences and every one of us screaming like a mad cow. There were few lucky draws which was for the chosen 500 audiences on the upper deck. Lucky for them to be standing on the same stage as Adam.
The showcase started!!! Here comes Adam, Monte and LP on the stage. Adam started off the show with Music Again. He really rocks it with the song. The song as usual brings life to the audience with the catchy tunes. Even Adam did it acoustic; you’d still feel like standing up and dancing along with the song. I believe I’m not the only one who felt that way.
Next song was Whataya Want From Me. As a second single from his album, this song is definitely a killer. Written and composed by Max Martin and Pink, this song captures the fans heart. This is where we see the other side of Adam! I’ve heard this song a million times, he performed this song a lot of times and yet, none of the performances were the same. That we called ART!!!
Sleepwalker is one of my favourite songs from the album and I’m glad that he sang this song. As usual, Adam’s interpretation of this song was just amazing. With the beats came from Monte and LP, the song started out beautifully. All the high notes, the song seem daunting in a way. And again, Adam just gave me a goosebump again. He never failed to do that. The song touched to the core of my bone.
But it can’t compete with Broken Open. When Adam sang the song, I’m pretty sure he gave goosebumps to everyone in the theater without fail. The place was silent. No one spoke at all, no scream at all. Part of it, they were mesmerized with the beauty of Adam’s voice and part of it, we just couldn’t disturb the peace at that time. There’s no exact word to describe the moment at that time. I just remember that I had tears in my eyes. Beautiful song, beautiful voice, what more you want. At the end of the song, everyone clapped their hands and screamed like mad. I pretty sure most of the people there actually gave a standing ovation (at least my side anyway). I think this was the point whereby those audiences that were not initially an Adam fan (reporters, etc) were converted. I’m not surprised. Adam’s delivery of this song made me fall in love all over again. In fact, I can safely say that this song was the climax of Adam’s performance in Singapore.

When the audiences were pretty well quiet after Broken Open, Adam continued the showcase with Mad World. This version was definitely different that any Mad World that Adam sang before. It was fast pace and you definitely want to dance with it. Well, at least that what I could see from Adam. I’m pretty sure that he had the itch to dance a long. I think he kind of controlled himself in the stage. But even without the dancing, the Mad World version was pretty much a kick ass version.
And finally the showcase was over. Of course, we weren’t happy. We want more Adam. We screamed encore and we want Adam again and again. I’m not really sure what happened at the back of the stage but the host said they were bringing back Adam. Nothing beats the joy when hearing Adam was coming back to the stage.
We screamed like mad and when the music started with the beat from Down The Rabbit Hole, we screamed louder. I guess the finishing was perfect. We were definitely down the rabbit hole together with Adam. Me and a few people were practically dancing at our seat although it’s kind of tough to do so but who cares anyway.
After the show was over and Adam already said bye to every one of us, I feel sad that it was over but I feel really grateful for the opportunity to be able to meet him and see him performing live on the stage.
We walked out from the theatre and still talked about his performance. We took a lot of pictures outside the theater as our remembrance. Definitely an EPIC experience.
